Playing impeccable tennis, Alyssa Dimaio won the CT State Singles championship on Wednesday, ousting nationally ranked (#85) Lexi Koubas 6-3, 6-3 in the finals. An amazing finish to a season we thought couldn’t get any better. Congratulations also to Lily Smith and Olivia Gordy for advancing to the State Semifinals and to Amelia Galin for her Round of 16 finish. Way to represent!!!

Victory is sweeeeet! Staples Girls Tennis finishes the season 24-0 after a 5-2 win over Wilton in the CIAC State Championship yesterday! Wilton stepped up their game, providing close contests on every doubles court, making the final decision a nail biter! Following an undefeated regular season, FCIAC Championship and State Championship, the season ends as one for the history books. Thanks to all the players, parents, and coaches who made it such a fun, wild ride! And to the Seniors – Kai, Lily, and Luiza – you will be missed beyond measure but adored forever. Gooooo Wreckers!!!
