The girls had an impressive run in the FCIACs this year defeating Ridgefield 7-0 in the quarterfinals and Fairfield Ludlowe 5-2 in the semifinals. They lost to Greenwich in the final 4-0 but had several matches still going that were incredibly competitive. Of note, was 3rd singles Adrianna Gavriloiu who had won her first set and was leading in the second when the time was called.

So far the season has stacked up to be a good one! The season record for the Staples Wreckers is 14-1. Seeded second in the tournament, they’ve advanced to the semifinals of the FCIAC after beating Ridgefield 7-0. They are looking forward to facing Ludlowe this coming Monday (5/18) at 4 pm at Staples.
